Squawk! Multi-server Edition monitors Novell Netware servers on a multi-server LAN/WAN (depending on broadcast domain) and facility line power. A server-specific contact is paged in the event of a server and an 'enterprise contact' is paged in the event of a power failure. The enterprise contact can optionally be paged when any server fails in addition to the server contact. Those paged on failures are also paged on recoveries. Failures are logged to a database for selectable hard-copy reports and exporting. On-screen messages are logged to a text file with date and time stamps and is viewable from within the program. Status of servers and statistics are displayed. Automtic recheck of a suspected failed server to reduce false alarms. Audible alarm provides backup to pager notification. Site designation included in power failure pager codes for covering multiple sites. Each server can be assigned a unique pager ID code, contact, and can be flagged to be ignored by the program. 'Tag and copy' feature to simultaneously duplicate server info to multiple target servers. Automatic setup and on-screen notification of new servers appearing on the network. Runs on older PCs to reduce hardware investment. Secure monitoring because no Netware shell is used. Customizable dialing parameters and support for pagers requiring an access code.
